Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) Program

The Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) Program at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, home of the Texas Heart® Institute, is one of the most experienced programs in the world. We're home to an experienced, highly skilled team that includes surgeons, cardiologists, LVAD coordinators, staff nurses, operating room personnel, social workers, dieticians, rehabilitation specialists, and many other professionals. Together, our surgeons have performed more than 1,000 LVAD procedures.

Compassionate care for LVAD patients

Our team at the Transplant Center at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, a collaboration between St. Luke’s Health and Baylor College of Medicine, is proud to provide patient-centered care for everyone who comes through our doors. We have developed a library of video resources to help you understand the LVAD implantation process, and we’re here to answer any questions you may have.
